About
the
Guides
At Door County Montessori, our teachers are dedicated guides who nurture each child’s natural curiosity, independence, and love of learning. Rooted in Montessori philosophy, our team creates a calm, respectful environment where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
Each educator brings a unique background, passion for early childhood development, and commitment to fostering meaningful connections within our classroom community. We invite you to get to know the individuals who thoughtfully prepare the environment, observe with intention, and support every child’s journey with care and respect.

Carrie Reyment
Founder
Carrie Reyment is a fourth-generation Door County native and a mother of four. She founded Door County Montessori out of a deep passion for child-led education and a belief that every child is born with natural curiosity, intelligence, and unique gifts.
Carrie believes that children thrive when they are given the freedom and support to explore the world in their own way. While many traditional systems unintentionally shape children to fit a predetermined mold, her philosophy centers on helping each child remain connected to who they truly are.
Through Door County Montessori, Carrie hopes to create a nurturing environment where children are respected as individuals, curiosity is encouraged, and learning unfolds naturally. Her greatest joy is watching children gain confidence as they discover their abilities, express their creativity, and grow into their authentic selves.
I am currently in my fourth year of teaching, all within Montessori environments, where I have developed a deep appreciation for child-led learning, independence, and the beauty of the prepared environment. Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, I earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northcentral Technical College and am currently continuing my professional journey by completing my Montessori certification.
Now living in Sturgeon Bay, I feel deeply connected to the Door County community and the natural environment that surrounds us. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending warm days relaxing on my porch and making meaningful memories with friends and family.
I believe in creating a calm, respectful, and nurturing space where children feel supported as they grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
